Interview with Vilmar Fernandes aka Postpixel

So today I’ve honour to recieve Vilmar Fernandes also know as Postpixel, he opened the new version of his portfolio few months ago, at this occasion he gave me a little interview about him, and what he feel about designing.

Hi Vilmar, can you present yourself for those who don’t know you?

Hello Alexis, I’m majored in Graphic Design, specialized in Interactive and I’ve been in the market for 11 years already with some customers in Brazil, France and USA.

Where and how did you discover design?

Still in the 80’s, I was very young but started working with a MSX 1.0. programming in basic language then after sometime I bought an Amiga 500 and it was all a small hobby. Years later I began to illustrate for small magazines in my hometown and some small companies. When I noticed that was what I was going to with my life, and would be my future profession.

I also would like to know how you decided to work in design? How your passion became your job?

When I began to study History of the Art and Painting in 1996 in a small school in my hometown I felt the need to express myself in many different ways. So I started to acknowledge all the new information which then I made the connection between Art and the Digital work. They were perfectly fit, and clients started to look forward in my work. Then I decided to look for Graphic Design in an University and after some years, to specialize in Interactive.
